A Face Full of Mace Doesn't Stop Suspect's Struggle
William H. Holliday is accused of aggravated assault after struggling with a police officer.
William H. Holliday really didn’t take well to being put under arrest, according to Cinnaminson Police.
Police stopped Holliday, 36, of the 900 block of Haddon Avenue in Collingswood, as part of an investigation into a broken window of a car parked at Gene’s Motel on Route 130.
Officer Richard Calabrese informed Holliday he was under arrest and the suspect fled toward a motel room and attempted to shut himself inside. Failing to shut the door in time, Holliday tried plan B—an attempt to tackle Calabrese, police said.
The officer sprayed Holliday with mace, but even that didn’t stop the suspect. According to police, Holliday continued to struggle and resist arrest. Calabrese took Holliday down and held him until back up arrived.
Holliday was charged with criminal mischief from the broken car window, plus aggravated assault on a police officer and resisting arrest. He was remanded to the Burlington County Jail on $10,000 full cash bail.

Great job Officer Calabrese! Cinnaminson police officers should be more thoroughly rewarded for their work. Another cop in another town might have just said, "foget this struggle" and shoot the fool. Calabrese opted to mace him. Nice work!
