Cinnaminson Joins River Line Task Force
The town entered into a shared service agreement to work with other River Line towns for extra enforcement.
Police heads in towns up and down the River Line in Burlington County have entered into a mutual agreement that puts more law enforcement officers along the train’s route.
Cinnaminson township committee members approved the resolution at last week’s meeting.
“It’s a task force of all the police departments to ensure safe ridership initiatives,” said Mayor Don Brauckmann. “We need this resolution with all the towns to help facilitate these enforcement activities.”
The resolution says the Cinnaminson Police Department (and other towns' departments) will provide River Line patrols in their respective towns, rely on each other for additional officers if needed, and to enter into a shared service agreement to use police to enforce ordinances.
In addition to Cinnaminson, the other towns involved are Palmyra, Riverton, Riverside, Delanco, Beverly, Edgewater Park, Florence, Burlington and Bordentown.
