Cinnaminson Police Investigate Armed Robbery

Officials said a man was robbed at gunpoint in front of his broken-down car.

Police here are investigating an Aug. 22 armed robbery against a man whose car broke down on Forklanding Road.

A 36-year-old man pulled his car over near the Route 90 bypass after experiencing engine trouble, officials said. The victim reported that a man approached his car, produced a handgun and demanded cash.

The suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash from the victim and was last seen walking on Forklanding Road toward Route 73.

The victim was unharmed.

The suspect is described as a black male, 5-foot-10 to 6 feet, average build and wearing a gray shirt, officials said.

The incident occurred at 7:59 a.m.

Anyone who was in the area at the time and may have witnessed the incident is asked to call Cinnaminson Police at 856-829-6667, ext. 2049. If you wish to remain anonymous, call the We Tip Hotline at 1-800-78-CRIME.

I don't think this story sounds plausible.

What seems implausible about it?

I was robbed in the cinnaminson wawa parking lot a few years back. My assailant claimed to have a gun but when I called him out on it he proved me right. I was able to fight him off until the cops came. It's definitely plausible. Wrong place, wrong time.

But c'mon walking on 90? And then walk away??? Sounds fishy.

Sounds like they were both on Forklanding, not 90.
