During the months of July and August 2012, the Cinnaminson Fire Department responded to 211 emergency incidents as follows:

104 – Medical Emergencies

41 – Fire/Carbon Monoxide Alarm Activations

21 – Other Emergency Incidents

13 – Outdoor Fires

12 – Wires/Transformer Incidents

11 – Structure Fires

9 – Motor Vehicle Collisions

In July, members of the Cinnaminson Fire Department participated in a two-night training program on treating and removing injured persons from swimming pools. This training included a classroom lecture and hands-on training in a large swimming pool. The Cinnaminson Fire Department would like to thank the Riverton Country Club for allowing the use of their pool to conduct this training.

August proved to be a busy month for the Cinnaminson Fire Department. The department assisted with a two-alarm structure fire in Riverton along with numerous other fire departments from the area. No injuries were reported.

The Cinnaminson Fire Department will have a booth at this year’s Cinnaminson Day On Sept. 30. Members will be there displaying apparatus and answering any questions. Kramer said this is a great way to meet the men and women of the department. Applications for volunteer membership as well as fire safety literature will be available.

"School is now open and we all need to watch for children as well as stop for school buses while driving," Kramer said in a release.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer with the Cinnaminson Fire Department, there are programs available for residents age 14 and up. Those interested can visit cinnaminsonfire.org for more information.

If you have any questions or concerns, or would like to arrange for a tour of one of the stations, call our business office at 856-829-5220 during normal business hours.
