Frugal Family: President Day Specials

It’s time for the February shopping sweeps. The onslaught of new television shows this month also known as the February sweeps won’t compare to the number of sales you will see this weekend at local stores and online. Frugal families will save a bundle on big ticket items like furniture, appliances and new cars.

According to an ABC News Consumer Report, “Presidents Day discounts are expected to be even deeper than Black Friday’s,” and online deals may be your best bet, so visit your favorite stores’ websites often and early as merchandise may not last long.

Don’t forget to remember our Founding Fathers while taking advantage of special financing, rebates and free gifts over Presidents Day Weekend.  

Old Navy has some great deals on clothes for mom, dad and the kids. You may want to head to Macy’s or American Signature Furniture if you’re planning on refurnishing and check out Wal-Mart if you’re looking to get in shape by summer, they’ve  got some great deals on fitness equipment.

New and used car deals are too extensive to list but searching online, watching commercials and visiting local dealerships will give you the answers and information you need. Car dealers need to unload last year's leftovers so that is good news for you if it's time to upgrade to a new vehicle.
