Retired Detective Sgt. Thomas G. Lillagore Sr. was laid to rest Monday afternoon at Lakeview Cemetery, a week after the longtime Cinnaminson police officer .

He was 72.

Lillagore Sr. joined the in 1969. He was promoted to sergeant in 1974 and detective sergeant in 1994. He left the department in 1998.

His son, Thomas Lillagore Jr., is currently a police officer for the township.
