Girl Scout Cookie Booths Now Open—Find Out Where to Buy

A new cookie is making its official debut.

Sweet Caramel deLites, Girl Scout cookies are back again.

While cookie season never seems long enough, the Girls Scouts officially kicked off sales of their famous cookies this week and will continue until late February.

With a new season brings a new look to Girl Scout cookies. Changing the classic packaging for the first time since 1999, Girl Scout cookie boxes will now feature the five financial literacy and entrepreneurship skills. The goal of the Girl Scout Cookie Program is to teach girls essential skills, such as goal setting and money management.

“Each year from our youngest Daisies to our experienced Ambassadors, our girls challenge themselves in new ways and develop skills that will help them for the rest of their lives,” says Girl Scout CEO Mary Connell.

For $4 a box, patrons can purchase any of the Girl Scout Cookie classics, as well as one new addition. Mango Cremes will debut this year as a tropical treat with reported health benefits. The crèmes are loaded with vitamins, having all the health benefits of cranberries, pomegranates, oranges, grapes and strawberries.

In addition to the Mango Cremes, cookies available for purchase include Thin Mints, Shortbread, Caramel deLites, Peanut Butter Patties, Lemonades, Thanks-A-Lot and Peanut Butter Sandwich.

Can’t live without this seasonal treat? Below is a list of where you can purchase your own Girl Scouts Cookies in the area:

  • Both 7-Eleven stores in Cinnaminson
  • Schwering's Hardware in Palmyra

Need to find other locations for your Thin Mint fix? Yes, there's an app for that. Download it here

Connie Stein, cookie coordinator for Cinnaminson, Palmyra and Riverton, said the Girl Scouts have a Taste of Home program, which allows customers to purchase cookies for Armed Forces overseas.

"This can be done through any Girl Scout or at any cookie booth," Stein said.

Great time of year! Thanks to those business owners who openly welcome the Girl Scouts and other organizations in town to fund raise. It is sad that WALMART no longer welcomes any fundraisers outside of their store. So much for supporting our community.......

If Wal-Mart is banning charities I do not think they a choice. Their entrance was being used by a number of scam artists who said they were collecting money for charities but they were actually pocketing the money. I came across one that was so blatant of a fraud this past summer I called Cinnaminson's finest on her. It is kind of funny; when I confronted her for being a scam she said “so what. Call the cops; they won’t do anything.” Well I took her advice and a few minutes later I watched as she was given a free ride to the police station. This woman was not the only scam artist working Wal-Mart. After working in center city for many years, I have learned to distrust strangers asking for cash. Do not blame Walmart; blame the creepy scammers.
