NJ Men Sue Subway Over 'Footlong' Claim
An Evesham man and an Ocean City man sued Subway in Burlington County Superior Court Tuesday, alleging that the company's supposed "footlongs" have been coming up a few inches short.
Two New Jersey men, including an Evesham resident, sued Subway in Burlington County Superior Court this week, claiming the sandwich chain has been shorting customers by selling alleged footlongs that measure less than 12 inches, according to multiple news outlets.
The plaintiffs—John Farley, of Evesham, and Charles Noah Pendrack, of Ocean City—approached attorney Stephen DeNittis, of Marlton-based Shabel & DeNittis, after reading last week about the short sandwiches.
DeNittis said he's had sandwiches from 17 shops measured—and every one came up short, according to Associated Press.
"The case is about holding companies to deliver what they've promised," he said.
The suit brings claims under the Consumer Fraud Act, alleging Subway is committing a deceptive practice in advertising its sandwiches as longer than they really are, according to My Fox Philly. The suit asks for compensation on behalf of all people who bought "footlongs" in New Jersey since 2007.

I don't know these two gentlemen, but I do know about being a guy. Let's hope that these two guys never fudged a couple inches in their casual conversations that could be brought up in any trials that may happen. Could you imagine having to answer questions under oath? They would deserve it though.

Good luck, I hope they win. I used to love Subway sandwiches but the company let the accountants run it. For efficiency’s sake they slice the meat at a plant in Iowa but then the meat tastes not as fresh. Besides, there is less meat on the sandwiches for the price and frankly I am not surprised the sandwiches are coming up short. I no longer eat Subway sandwiches. I now get my hoagies at Primo’s – their hoagies are always great, made to order, and they don’t cost much more than a Subway hoagie. Still, Cinnaminson needs a great mom and pop deli like we had when I was a kid. They were fun. I just hate chain sandwich shops.

Pundit—I dislike chain sandwich shops too. But Jersey Mike's is great and I always go to the Riverton Deli on Main Street. Search for them on Patch—we did a great story on them! Delicious.

Ill have to try out the Riverton deli and Jersey Mikes especially the deli since it is local. That's one of the great things about a local newspaper. You can give free shoutouts to help boost local businesses. Thank you for the suggestions.
