Obituary: Barbara Hunter, Cinnaminson Farm Matriarch
Services will be held Thursday and Friday in Riverton.
Barbara H. (Gill) Hunter, of Cinnaminson, died Dec. 10. She was 63.
Hunter was born in Riverside and graduated from Palmyra High School in 1967. She was the founder and owner of Hunter's Farm Market.
Hunter was a past president and member of the Burlington County Farm Bureau Women's Caucus, softball coach for Cinnaminson Pals, Farm Woman of The Year, and a member of the Palmyra Riverton Cinnaminson Rotary.
She was an avid fishing lady and was known in the Keys as the Tarpon Queen. Barbara loved her summers on Long Beach Island.
Barbara is survived by her loving husband of 43 years, John H. Hunter; her devoted children, Amy Zorn (Michael), Anne Hunter, John R. Hunter (Holly); her loving grandchildren, Cole, Jake, Halie Hunter; her parents Helen and Bert Gill; her siblings, John Gill (Mary), Bruce Gill (Ann) Allison Gill; her in-laws, Russell Hunter and Gail Blackman; and many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. She is sending a shout out to Barbara G., Barbara S., Sis M., Patti S. Mary A. and Loretta Z.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit from 6 to 9 p.m., Thursday, and from 10 to 11 a.m., Friday. Her funeral service will be held 11 a.m., Friday, at Weber Funeral Home, 112 Broad Street in Riverton. Hunter's burial will follow in Lakeview Memorial Park.

Barbara was always such a friendly welcoming face at the farm market. I offer the family my deepest condolences. She will be missed.

I worked for the Hunters all my years in high school. Best job I ever had, many memories and stories I still tell today. Sad to hear of the loss of Barbara. My thoughts and prayers go to all the Hunter family.
