Cinnaminson Police held the township's first-ever National Night Out, an event held nationwide that promotes community involvement and safety.

Officer Mike Czarzasty, who headed up the Night Out, said more than 500 people had attended already only halfway through the event which ran from 4 to 8 p.m. in the parking lot behind the police station.

"It was better than expected," Czarzasty said.

Excuse the post above. I was alittle disappointed because my husband owns a business here in Cinnaminson and I tried several times to get on the list of vendors. Not one of my phone calls were returned from the Director of Safety. However, found out last night, they had a similar company from Pennsauken instead. So much for supporting Cinnaminson businesses!

What a great event. I met with and talked to some of the best people in Cinnaminson. Not one person working at the event wore a tired or unhappy face. They all were there because they love the community and townspeople. Everyone I saw that was visiting the event had a happy face on too. It was neat to see Cinnaminson have events to bring everyone closer together. Especially knowing that it isn't just our town bringing people together, but people from the town working over and above to make the place better. Their enthusiasm and optimism was contagious. Thanks!
