Photos & Story: Med Express Opens Today
The ribbon was cut on the new urgent care facility in Cinnaminson.
MedExpress officials are "thrilled" to be a part of the Cinnaminson community.
The urgent care facility officially opens to the public today. On Tuesday, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held, complete with tours of the building, which was last home to Hollywood Video.
"It's so busy out here," said Steve DeLozier, vice president of operations for MedExpress, pointing out to Route 130. "The visibility is great. We're thrilled to be here in Cinnaminson."
The Cinnaminson location is the 99th MedExpress in the country and the first in New Jersey. The closest locations are in Delaware but at least one more is slated to open this year in Gloucester County.
"We are focused on giving our patients a great experience," DeLozier said. "We give great care fast."
MedExpress treats everything from sprained ankles, to flu symptoms, to cuts. There is always a physician on duty and the facility boasts rooms for x-rays, stitches and several other procedures. Several healthcare plans are accepted and a payment program may be made for those with no insurance, officials said.
MedExpress is open seven days a week, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.
