The winning numbers are: 5 16 22 23 29 Powerball 6
The jackpot for tonight’s Powerball game drawing increased $50 million and now sits at a $550 million annuity prize, officials announced today.
The jackpot is the largest in Powerball history and is more than $185 million larger than the previous top Powerball jackpot of $365 million in February 2006.
The current jackpot is also the largest right now in the world, New Jersey Lottery Executive Director Carole Hedinger said.
The lottery network of more than 6,500 retailers across New Jersey sold more than $14.7 million in Powerball tickets for tonight’s draw as of noon today.
Ticket sales from the current game roll—that began on Oct. 6—have thus far generated nearly $16 million in contributions to the state. Lottery money goes to fund education programs, hospitals and more.
The drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. tonight. Cinnaminson Patch will bring you the numbers at 11 p.m. Follow us on Facebook and Twitter to get the information ASAP.
