Riverton Deli Closes Abruptly
The same day Cinnaminson Patch ran a business story on the spot, a "closed" sign appeared on the door.
The same day Cinnaminson Patch ran a business story about Riverton Deli, a popular sandwich place located in downtown Riverton, a sign saying it's closed was posted on the door.
On Wednesday, a "For Sale Or Lease" sign was put up in the window of the empty deli.
Calls to Terry Bridge Jr., the Riverton man who owns the deli and who was recently interviewed for the story, were not returned. A call to the deli itself gives a recording saying the number has been disconnected. Riverton Deli's website is still up and running at www.ciocisdeli.com; Cioci's is the former name of the spot.
Bridge took over the restaurant and named it Riverton Deli last August. In a recent interview, Bridge said he had expanded the items to include breakfast sandwiches, wraps, soups and more.

After 8 months of losing money the deli has closed. I would like to thank the loyal customers that we did have. I would also like to thank the patch for the article, unfortunately it was too late. Terry

Being a small business is incredibly tough and it is a shame that the deli closed. They had great food and friendly smiles. Best of luck to the owners and employee's.

Sad very sad.. Thank in part the Riverline (for taking all the available lunch parking)...thank in part the bustleing "Downtown " Riverton shopping district (see empty store fronts in CVS cntr.)...Its funny how the deli lost money and that wonderful establishment Milanese (not ) does so well ... Anyway sorry for your loss Terry , you at least took your shot ..well done..

I am very disappointed the deli closed. I actually drove over to it to buy some hoagies on the day it closed.
But anyway, yes, of course, the Riverline deserves all the blame. How - I do not understand. Why do you expect folks wanting a deli sandwich to hop on the Riverline? It seems to me, a business like a deli depends on walk in traffic and folks who live just a short drive away.

Terry: Thanks for the Boy Scout Eagle Project discounts it really helped. We try to buy as much as we can at local stores. We know that we are helping a local owner, who provides a service to the town, pay the mortgage, pay tuition, raise a family, etc. We really don't want to help a CEO of a National Chain buy their third vacation home.

I missed this article and found out the hard way. 2 weeks ago I called and the number was disconnected. Cue the sad tuba sound. I dreaded going there sometimes because I always had to park illegally to pick up my food. I went to the doctors office there a few times and had to park down the street illegally. That gym and the riverline need to go in halfs on a parking garage or something. I pass Barista in Palmyra every day and think, that place looks nice, its a shame there is no parking,the back lot is full of apartment parking and the surrounding property owners don't take care of their properties. I'm sad the deli closed, I was a loyal customer, but Riverton and Palmyra need to rethink their "main street USA", it is not happening.

You find it hard to park in Riverton? There is parking along the River Line and behind the gym. The hard part is the one-way streets. If you don't find something, you gotta drive around the block. It's great however that places like Zena's, Milanese and Glory Days have their own lots.

I parked next to the deli one day and a Riverton cop told me that those signs are for the spots and where I was parked is technically a fire lane. There is a big sign in the lot across from Milanese that says it is for whatever business that is only....I just don't want tickets.
