Stolen Car Found in Hotel Parking Lot
A car stolen in Lindenwold turned up in Cinnaminson.
A car parked in the lot of the Sleep Inn on Aug. 9 turned up stolen, according to Cinnaminson Police, after a patrolling officer checked on its status.
Around 1:20 a.m., a township police officer checked a 1994 Pontiac Grand Prix that had two occupants in the parking lot of the Route 130 hotel. The officer found the car had been reported stolen in Lindenwold Aug. 4.
The two occupants of the car were taken into custody.
Byaer Johnson, 25, of the unit block of Berkshire Road in Sicklerville, was charged with receiving stolen property, possession of a weapon for unlawful purpose and certain persons not to possess weapons.
Johnson was lodged in Burlington County Jail in default of $20,000 bail.
The second subject was charged with a motor vehicle offense for possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. The subject was released on a summons to appear in court.
