Storms to Bring Heavy Rain

A flood warning has been issued.

 

There is a coastal flood advisory and flood warning for our area, according to the National Weather Service in Mt. Holly.

There is a 100 percent chance of rain and thunderstorms, then periods of rain and thunderstorms after 10 p.m. Meteorologists said some of the storms could produce heavy rainfall in our area. 

The low temperature will be around 59 with an east wind up to 14 mph.

New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

My heart goes out to the people down by the river, their houses keep getting flooded everytime it rains. I understand Mr. Young (Twnshp Comm. w/ Public Works) is looking into this for How long now???

Thank you for the kind thoughts and for the good news! Those of us who live in my neighborhood had no idea that DPW was aware of the problem. We are thrilled to hear that they are looking into the ever increasing flooding! Thanks again!

Cynthia I hate to be the bearer of bad news but this issue was addressed at the Township meeting on April 18th. As a matter of fact channel 6 was there and even did a story on it. Mr Ben Young spoke and was going to look into several areas for the people with problems, I have spoken to several people who live there and still NOTHING! Sorry to say ...
