Township to Honor Vets Sunday
A Memorial Day service will be held at the municipal building.
Cinnaminson Township will hold a Memorial Day Ceremony at 10 a.m. Sunday at the township's municipal building on Riverton Road.
The event will open with comments from Deputy Mayor Don Brauckmann, who's a former United States Marine.
The ceremony will then feature a tribute from members of Riverside Post #146 of the American Legion.
There will be a wreath-laying ceremony, an invocation by a military chaplain, a rifle salute, followed by the playing of "Taps."
All are encouraged to attend.

People who attend church on Sunday morning won't be able to attend. What a shame it wasn't scheduled for the actual holiday.

Jeanne, I agree and we were originally trying to schedule this event on Monday but are working around the schedule of the dedicated veterans volunteers from the American Legion. They are making approximately 10 trips for various ceremonies all around our area on Sunday, not Monday. Let's hope for nice weather and a nice turn out Sunday morning to honor our fallen heroes.

As a Veteran myself I would love to attend but God comes first. Would have been nice if the time could have been after services. Thank you though to all who have served and all who contiune to serve. God Bless America!

God always understands. May he be with all our Veterans whether at a local Memorial Service, Sunday Service or even a simple moment in time during the day when we stop to remember. Happy Memorial Day!

I'm teaching Sunday school at 10 am, so I have to be there. I was looking for a way to honor our veterans around here, and would have liked to attend the Cinnaminson ceremony.
