I will take my boys thru Riverton on Friday since my husband is a police officer for Riverton- they will not go trick or treating twice- why be greedy?! We will stay home Monday and greet trick or treaters if they come knocking happy Halloween

I'm glad I don't live in Riverton! Every kid in a 50 mile radius is gonna be there! I won't take my kids there, but I have no doubt that other parents don't feel the same way and are going to take advantage. Good luck Rivertonians!

Even a 4.5 year old can understand that it's not safe because of storm damage.

Tonight we walked the dog... No kids out, he got it just fine.

The mayor just moved Christmas to July 15th and the 4th of July to March 13th.

I hope the Township or police department puts out a township-wide (not school district) announcement via phone service and email that Trick or Treating has been moved to Monday, November 5th. Many folks I've spoken to don't realize that Trick or Treating has been moved because they don't have kids in the school system and don't go on Patch.

Trick-or-treating in Riverton Friday is after school to 8 p.m. The borough's curfew Friday night is at 9 p.m.
