John and Brittany will bring their brand of rock and roll to the next Circle of Friends show, at Muse Tattoo and Art Gallery in Palmyra.
Circle of Friends presents another intimate performance later this month, when Philadelphia rock duo John & Brittany perform on Saturday, May 18, at Muse Tattoo and Art Gallery in Palmyra. John Faye, 46, is a former member of the Caulfields and IKE and has been performing for the better part of the last 30 years, while Brittany Rotondo, 22, is a relative newcomer to the local music scene. The pair, who have been performing together for roughly the last two years, have put out two albums—a six-song EP and their first full-length album, Start Sinning, released in January. The two have quite an interesting backstory. They sat down with Patch recently to talk about their experiences—as performers and as individuals—ahead of the show. …

Circle of Friends brings back the John Byrne Band for another pre-St. Patrick's Day show featuring traditional Irish folk music.
If all you know of Irish music is drinking songs like "Wild Rover" and "Whiskey in the Jar" played in the background of loud pubs on St. Patrick's Day, John Byrne and his band have quite a show for you. In his youth, Byrne—who immigrated to the United States from Ireland in his late teens—didn't have much interest in the music of his native land. Irish folk was "my dad's music," he said. And when he came to America to begin his career as a musician, he was turned off by the kind of songs he was being asked to play ("Danny Boy") just because he was an Irishman. But as he plied his craft, at first focusing mostly on American folk (he counts Bob Dylan as an early inspiration), Byrne began to recognize the deep similarities between folk music…

A 12-year-old Ocean City girl will be a guest star Tuesday night (Feb. 19) on FOX-TV's "Raising Hope." Molly Morgen Lamont will portray a 13-year-old Hope in a flash-forward episode titled "Arbor Daze" at 8:30 p.m. (FOX appears as Channel 5 on Ocean City's Comcast network). She also appeared as Clara in a "Modern Family" episode titled "A Slight at the Opera" on ABC. Lamont will star in the feature film "Abner, the Invisible Dog," a comedy also starring David DeLuise and a 185-pound English sheepdog. The film will be released later in 2013. The acting roles are the result of 18 months of hard work for a girl who finished fifth grade at Ocean City Intermediate School in 2011 and announced to her parents that she wanted to follow her heart …
