Participating couldn’t be easier. Put some nonperishable food in a bag and leave it by your mailbox. Your mail carrier will pick it up and deliver it to the Food Bank of South Jersey to help hungry people in our community. Canned proteins—tuna fish, chicken and salmon—and vegetables and fruit are particularly sought, but any nonperishable food will do. Property owners in Cinnaminson have five days left to appeal their tax assessments. Successful tax appeals prove that the property is over-assessed, and unreasonable compared to market value. If you feel that is you, read on. The deadline for appeals each year is April 1, but since that date falls on a Sunday this year, property owners have until the end of business (5 p.m.) Monday, April 2, to submit their applications.
