The monthly meeting of the West Jersey Cjapter of the National Railway Historical Society will take place at 7:30 PM on Monday, March 25, 2013.
Member John Kilbride will give a presentation on the Mercer & Somerset Railroad entitled: Short Line, Short Life, Long Legacy. This is the railroad that ws involved in the famous "Frog Wars" of the 1850s. Abandoned in 1881, John will show us where there are still several traces of this little line as well as several buildings that are still standing.
The hall is handicapped accessible and there is ample free parking on the street and in several nearby lots. Everyone interested in railroads, trolleys, etc. is welcome.
