Concert, High School Sports Practices Highlight Thursday in Cinnaminson

High Noone Express will be performing at Wood Park on Thursday evening, while Thursday is also the start of high school sports practice.

For the first time in the a few weeks, the weather forecast is looking beautiful on a Thursday. That makes it a perfect day to check out the latest performance of Cinnaminson’s free summer concert series.

This week’s performer is High Noone Express, a popular country and pop band from the region. As always, the show will be held at Wood Park starting at 7 p.m. It is free for all guests. If the weather does not cooperate yet again, the concert will be moved to Cinnaminson Middle School.

With school just a few weeks away, practices are finally kicking off for the fall 2013 athletic season. Tomorrow will be the first day of practice for Cinnaminson High School football and girls' volleyball. Practices will begin bright and early at 8 a.m.

Meanwhile, at Cinnaminson Library, there is plenty for teens to do as the library continues to celebrate the end of summer with a teen pizza party. All members of the Teen Read Club and Teen Volunteers are invited to enjoy pizza, soda and dessert. Members will also receive prizes and certificates. The party starts at 12 p.m.

Also tomorrow afternoon, teens will be invited to try out Steampunk crafts. Steampunk, which is a type of paper, will be provided as all are invited to make their own Steampunk hats.
