Cinnaminson U8 Pirates Win 2014 Summer Slam Tournament

Cinnaminson—The Cinnaminson U8 Pirates completed an undefeated weekend with a 12-0 win over GVAA (Gibbboro Vorhees Athletic Association) in the 2014 Summer Slam Baseball tournament played in Memorial Park in Cinnaminson. Teams from all over South Jersey participated in this event that ran from Thursday June 19th to Monday June 23rd.

The Pirates won their bracket by beating Burlington County Athletic Association, Waterford Township and Marlton over the weekend.  The Pirates outscored their opponents  46 to 9 over the 4 games and recorded 2 shutouts with only committing 3 errors the entire tournament.  The victory was a complete team effort with a combination of great defense, pitching and hitting. 

The Championship game was paced by a 3 run home run by Tommy Angelone and a stellar pitching by Ryan Horner, Kyle McDonough, and Alex LePage.

The Pirates roster is Jackson Adams, Ryan Horner, Kyle McDonough, Alex LePage, Tommy Angelone, Daulton McDonald, Matt McClosky,  Connor Prendergast,  Timmy Morrell, L.C. Smith, Karl Wissmann, and Kristian Czajka.
