Seventh grade students at Westfield Friends School held a "publishing party" with their kindergarten "buddies" last week to celebrate the young authors! As part of the school's literacy and writing program, the kindergarten students have been busy drawing pictures of many school events and writing stories to go along with their artwork. Their seventh grade "mentors" helped them present their projects to classmates and encouraged and applauded their hard work - and then celebrated with some "Smarties" candy! The buddy program is just one of the very special traditions at Westfield Friends School!
