Westfield Friends School Celebrates the Olympics!

Westfield Friends students from kindergarten through middle school got into the Olympic spirit at their recent Quaker Friday gathering. Mrs. Mary Rinck, Westfield's Latin teacher, planned a series of Olympic-style games for the students to participate in and learn about the ancient Olympic games. The kids tried their hand at a discuss throw, shot put, javelin toss and good old "Rock-em Sock-em Robots!" After some foot races, scooter rides and toga dressing, they tried to beat Mr. Peter Pearson (our interim headmaster) at both arm and thumb wrestling... it was a great afternoon for all of the students and teachers too!
