Sue’s mother swears her daughter said she'd never get married in the winter.

“I don’t really remember saying that!” Sue said. “He just said it would be different and I went with it.”

For their honeymoon, the couple took a cruise to the Caribbean, with stops in St. Thomas and Barbados. And while on the cruise, they met three other couples that got married the same day they did.

“We’ve even kept in touch with them over the years,” Sue said.

The couple have two kids—a 19-year-old daughter Jaima who goes to James Madison University, and a son, Nick, who’s 17 and is a junior at .
