I am proud to have served in the Navy, 1965-1968. I didn't flee to Canada, burn my draft card or otherwise shirk my duty, and I am proud of that. I never saw combat, nor did I ever get out of the country but for about 30+ hours. But I did my duty, as did my parents before me in WWII. To all the men and women who have served, are serving, and will serve in the future, thank you for letting me and my children grow up free, in the greatest country on Earth. God Bless You All.
