Cinnaminson Ranked (Again)

The township and school district had strong showings in separate lists in NJ Monthly and South Jersey Magazine.

Cinnaminson scored high in separate lists recently ranking the township among other municipalities in the state and region.

NJ Monthly magazine ranked Cinnaminson 142nd out of 514 communities across the state—among the top 30 percent. The publication ranked the communities using a formula that incorporated (among other factors): residential taxes, crime rate, student proficiency on state-mandated standardized tests, and a "lifestyle factor" that took into account a variety of things, including the number of nearby hospitals, full-service restaurants and live performing arts theaters.

Cinnaminson has also been named a "Top Town" by South Jersey Magazine the last few years.

Speaking of South Jersey Magazine, in its latest "Top of the Class: 2013 Public High School Report Card" list, ranked Cinnaminson No. 2 in the region for graduation rate (96.7 percent), behind only Haddonfield Memorial High School, which had a 100 percent graduation rate, according to the publication.

Cinnaminson High School also had the 11th highest (out of 49) average SAT score at 1521, and the fourth best (8:1) student-to-faculty ratio.

What do you think of the rankings? Should Cinnaminson be higher, or lower, or are they just right?
