Habitat ReStore Reopens with New Hours, New Merch

Looking for household items for bargain prices? Check out the revamped ReStore in Cinnaminson, the retail arm of Burlington County Habitat for Humanity.

Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore in Cinnaminson opened with a new look—and new hours—earlier this month.

The store was shut down for a week so volunteers from the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst could paint and reorganize. The new ReStore had a grand (re)opening on March 1, boasting more accommodating hours, a fresher design and new merchandise, including items from HomeGoods.

The ReStore is a retail operation open to the public that supports Habitat for Humanity’s Affordable Homeownership Program by selling new and gently used household items and building materials at steeply discounted prices. The money raised in the store helps to purchase materials and also cover other expenses to construct affordable homes for families in the program.

Another benefit of the ReStore is it provides the community with an environmental and socially responsible alternative to throwing items away.

Prior to the revamp, the store was only open with limited hours. The ReStore’s new hours are: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. The store also provides free pickups for donations.

“The revamp will give the store a fresher look and the extended hours will be more accommodating to the community,” said ReStore Manager Tristan Keyser.

The revamp would not have been possible without the volunteers from the Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst who worked extremely hard to make it happen, according to a release from Habitat for Humanity of Burlington County. The donation from HomeGoods will also help elevate the store to a new level.
