In each case, service in those areas will need to be shut down temporarily in order to connect individuals’ services to the newly installed water main. Residents don’t need to be home for this to occur, but the water company will notify those in the home or business as it takes place and the water company will maintain access the properties for the project’s duration.

When connecting individuals’ service to the new water main, air may enter the water line and debris may enter plumbing. Residents are encouraged to run their cold water for a few minutes until the disturbance disappears.
