Winter Storm Warning Issued for Tuesday

Travel during and after the storm is expected to be affected.

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a winter storm warning for heavy snowfall for multiple parts of New Jersey, including Burlington County, from 6 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Tuesday.

Affected areas are those adjacent to the I-95 corridor in northeast Maryland, plus areas in southeast Pennsylvania and Southwest New Jersey.

The snow is expected to begin by dawn on Tuesday and last into the afternoon before tapering off by dusk. Forecasters say accumulation could be 3 to 5 inches.
Sleet and ice are also expected.

Drivers should take extra caution as the morning commute could be significantly impacted. Roads are also expected to be icy after the snow due to falling temperatures late Tuesday and continuing for a few days.
