'Yes Virginia, There is a Santa Claus'

Bridge Players Theatre Company proudly announces its 2011-2012 holiday show, Yes Virginia, There is a Santa Claus, Pat Cook’s heartwarming play based on the famous 1897 New York Sun editorial by Francis Pharcellus (Frank) Church.

When 8-year-old Virginia O’Hanlon’s best friends tell her there is no Santa Claus, she sets out to prove them wrong.  Virginia, failing to get the proof she needs from the adults in her life, turns to the one place where you can always get the truth – The New York Sun.  At the Sun, her letter falls into the hands of the cynical reporter Frank Church, who must figure out how to answer the most important question in a young child’s life: is there a Santa Claus?
