Iconic Route 130 Diner Demolished

The iconic turquoise awnings and orange paneling of lay in twisted heaps Monday as crews brought down the Route 130 burger joint. 

Roney’s, closed in March 2011, came down . Despite attempts to save the restaurant—including a Facebook group—the small restaurant fell victim to the state’s push for a wider Route 130 to deal with perpetual traffic clogs on the road.
