"You made a decision to come and stay and grow in New Jersey," Guadagno said. "If you are willing to make that tough decision, we are willing to work with you to expand business here."

Sea Box was celebrating three major milestones at Friday's ceremony:

  • The company expanded after the purchase of a 378,000-square-foot, 51-acre manufacturing facility, allowing them to build the steel containers;
  • Sea Box installed a 6.5-acre, two-megawatt, solar array on the roof of the new manufacturing building. The power generated runs the entire factory and office building. The company has reduced its carbon footprint by over 600 tons;
  • Over the last three years, employment at Sea Box has quadrupled and now, more than 160 employees work there.

Mayor Kathy Fitzpatrick called Sea Box's success "an American dream," because prior to starting the company, Brennan, the company president, was collecting unemployment.

"To have a world headquarters here in Cinnaminson is a testament to what we have been trying to do—promote and retain business," Fitzpatrick said. "For it to stay and continue to thrive in Cinnaminson makes me so proud."
