Bottom Dollar, A Customer Experience

A view of the new Bottom Dollar.

A new store in Cinnaminson Mainline Center on Route 130! How exciting! Bottom Dollar was to open March 2 for the first time. The ad said the first 200 people would get a bag of groceries free. They would open at 7:58 AM. I thought, now who is going to stand in line that early in 34 degree weather?

The day the store opened I ventured to the parking lot to see what was happening. I couldn't believe my eyes or could I? There were people with orange shopping carts snaked around the corner and down Willow Drive. The parking lot was packed. More people were driving in and parking all the way at the other end of the parking lot and racing to the entrance. After they were opened a while I started asking people how they liked it. They had a shopping cart filled and the free groceries were at the top of their cart. One gentleman showed me what he had in the free grocery "green" bag. Bread, potato, chips, cereal, and other items. The store had sent out coupons to the houses in the area giving them four weeks of coupons for the Month of March to get $20 worth of groceries for $10!

I had to see what was so wonderful. A few days later I grabbed an orange cart and went into the store to see for myself. It was well-lit, warm, and the groceries were neatly stacked on shelves. They have a separate room for produce and there were bargains to be found. I had no problem finding twenty dollars worth of groceries to spend and I paid $10 with my coupon.

Would I go back? Yes, I am thrilled that I finally have a store to grab groceries at without running to the other side of town. Acme closed a while ago and I missed running to a nearby store. Now if we can only fill the other stores in Mainline Shopping Center. The two large stores that are vacant would be a welcome site for some great retail sites. I have a few suggestions but I'll save them for now.

Maybe some of our readers have suggestions for the stores. Happy shopping!
