Last week began the aggressive chemo

So please think about either donating or sharing the giveforward.com Then search "help Tom fight his fight"

So last week started toms aggressive chemo which is every other week for 2months. That takes us to march 21st. Then they will give him a 3-4 week rest period. Then they will go in and do a major surgery. They will remove his spleen, remove the tumor, remove a portion of his main artery( celiac artery) and also remove a portion of his pancreas. It's a 6-8 hour surgery. So we are hoping for the best. Because of where the tumor is located the portion of his pancreas that will be removed is the tail and part of the body so we are wondering if Tom will become diabetic afterwards since that's where insulin is produced. We are also hoping there won't be any complications. As with any surgery that's always a concern. Then he will need two months recovery. He will then be on some kind of chemo not sure what yet. With all this we hope there won't be a recurrence but of course the drs can't tell you that for sure. So the next 4-6 months will be another long part of this journey. Thank you to everyone for your support. Please continue to keep our family in your thoughts and prayers.
