Cinnaminson to Honor Fallen Veterans

The short ceremony will be held Sunday at the municipal building.

Cinnaminson will honor fallen members of the military during a brief Memorial Day ceremony Sunday.

The 20-minute ceremony, scheduled for 10 a.m. at the township municipal building on Riverton Road, is set up by the American Legion Post 146, in Riverside, according to Committeeman Don Brauckmann, a former United States Marine. The Legion's color guard and honor guard annually tour about a dozen towns in the area, including Cinnaminson.

Mayor Ben Young and veterans from the Legion will speak during the ceremony. A wreath will also be laid at the base of the monument outside the building and "Taps" will be played.

"It's just a small dedication ceremony we do to honor the lives of the service members who have lost their lives," said Brauckmann.

He said there will be a small tent set up nearby, and light refreshments will be served.
