Cinnaminson Will See Snow Overnight

But is it enough to play, sled, be stranded...even stick??

Don't go to bed early tonight, Cinnaminson. You might miss just the fourth time snowflakes have fallen from skies here and actually stuck on the ground for more than one hour.

Rain will turn to snowfall around midnight and it could accumulate up to an inch, according to Anthony Gigi, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Mt. Holly.

The rain should start around 10 p.m. this evening and switch over to snow a couple hours later.

"And then, for tomorrow (Saturday) morning," Gigi said, "snow is likely, possibly mixed with rain."

Gigi said another inch could accumulate. Two inches on the ground? Say it ain't so.

Well, New Jeresy isn't alone. The National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration identified January 2012 as the fourth-warmest January on record for the contiguous United Stats. The average temperature was 36.3 degrees—5.5 degrees above normal range.

Lows tonight will be around freezing, Gigi said. The high tomorrow will be 40.

And then, more snow maybe. There's a chance of a snow shower Saturday night.

"Actually, it may be the diciest, because temperatures may dip below freezing," Gigi said.

Sunday is slated to be partly sunny and cold, with a high around 32.

With cold temperatures moving in, the Burlington County Health Department declared a Code Blue Weather Emergency from 5 p.m. Saturday to 9 a.m. Sunday.

Individuals can call CONTACT of Burlington County at 856-234-8888 or 866-234-5006 for a list of available shelters and additional Code Blue information.
