County Volunteer Center Holding Casino Fundraiser

Proceeds from the event benefit scholarship fund for community-minded students.

The Volunteer Center of Burlington County will hold its fourth annual Casino Night on Friday, Sept. 23, to raise money for the Joseph Laufer Scholarship, which awards college scholarship funds to high school students with outstanding records of community service.

“This is a wonderful, fun event and at the end of the day it provides us with resources to recognize deserving, college-bound high school seniors, who have done more than their share of volunteer work in the community,” said Volunteer Center president, Kimberly Mattson.

This year’s event will be held from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at Charley’s Other Brother Restaurant at 1383 Monmouth Road in Eastampton and will be highlighted by a 50-50 raffle drawing.

Tickets are still available at $40 per person or $75 per couple and can be reserved by calling 609-894-9311, ext. 1492.

For the price of a ticket, participants are treated to a full buffet of food, a one-hour open bar (6:30-7:30 p.m.) and $25 in gaming chips, which they can use to play the casino games.

At the end of the night, winnings can be “cashed in” for tickets, which players can use to participate in chance drawings for a wide array of prizes.

Fifty-fifty raffle tickets can also be purchased for $5 throughout the evening.
