The house at 1 Devon Road is a steal at $289,000. The homes on that road are maintained immaculately. This is such a handsome house and it is so close to Wood Park. Just a few years ago it would have gone for more than $400,000. Whoever buys it is getting a great deal.

Really, if its a steal why is not gone yet....maybe the taxes are over the market value of the house, oh well, just like the rest of our homes, overassessed for the market conditions....great, but we have good schools.....according to people thats all we need HA

The new buyer can do what i did in 93. Bought my house in January. Stole it for 40k under selling price and 60k under market value. Took my settlement papers and appraisal into the tax assessor and he lowered my taxes by a lot. John your really starting to sound like a broken record. Get over it. I think you need to move to DE, West Virginia or some place other than NJ where the taxes are low. If you want to stay in Jersey move to Vineland where the sales tax is 3% and the property taxes even lower. Salem I believe has no property taxes at all. You just get nuked instead!!

My brother bought this same house just a reverse model in 2003 on Georgian for 252, 500 with a large pool in the yard. You are correct in that the homes in this area are well maintained and show the pride of home ownership. I don't know if you can call it a steal. I think it's priced right for today's market. A few years ago everyones home would have sold for at least 400k. It's not so anymore. Used to be during that time houses sold within a day or 2 of being placed on the market. Heck, I used to have people knocking on my door asking if i would be interested in selling. I live on a corner premuim lot and have a 4br ranch. Ranchers are hard to come by in Cinna. I could have sold for 5x's what i bought it for. The bottom dropped out of the housing market everywhere. Not just in Cinna. Instead of buying up to a larger house in Cinna,as i intended, I bought a shore property instead. Because even down the shore the prices were cut almost in half. I bought in 2007 and the prices have only risen slightly. But John, my taxes there are less than Cinna. Consider moving there if you want cheaper taxes.

Oh boy, a critic about what people say, I am not a broken record, its like the leaf pick up, people know they have a time slot for public works to pick up the leaves but low and behold they put them out at least 2 weeks early, maybe people do not care about the market value of there houses but the township should, it they value it over the market price they are getting more than they should....sorry for sounding like a broken record....Everything goes up but nothing goes down why is that, maybe U can find the answer and let us all know....enjoy the day....

Oh, I just went over the comments and Ric says its worth 289,000 and Frank says its assessed at 344,600....I guess this is the new math for taxation....something is not right....no I do not want to get nuked thanks anyway.....
