The new play structure at Memorial Park officially opened this week, said township officials.
According to the township's Facebook page, construction was delayed due to public works' Hurricane Sandy cleanup efforts.
The page says: The play area still has work underway as there are two climbing events to add in the coming weeks as well as some benches, picnic tables, and more mulch.
The play structure also opens in time for the Thanksgiving tournament sponsored by the Cinnaminson Soccer Club at Memorial Park.
One of the next projects at Memorial Park is an upgrade to the bathroom and concession stand. The township was awarded grant money in the third round of the Municipal Park Development Assistance Program from Burlington County.
