The Burlington County Mosquito Division will be treating for adult mosquitoes in areas of Maple Shade, Mount Laurel and Tabernacle tonight, after positive samples of West Nile virus were identified, county officials said.
Treatment will take place in the vicinity of Academy Drive and South Church Street in Mount Laurel; the area near the Maple Shade sewage treatment plant on Park Avenue; and two locations in Tabernacle—Pricketts Mill recreation field and Bozarthtown Road.
The division is planning to treat areas within approximately a half-mile radius of each location. Treatment is scheduled to start at 7:30 p.m. Pesticide will be applied in a mist form by a truck-mounted sprayer.
Residents are encouraged to stay indoors while treatment takes place.
