Movie Night Canceled—Again

Tonight's stormy forecast bags Cinnaminson's Movie Night.

It seems Mother Nature just isn't a fan of Buzz Lightyear, Woody and the rest of the Toy Story 3 gang. A menacing weather forecast has canceled Cinnaminson's Movie Night, scheduled for tonight (Oct. 1).

This isn't the first time the weather put a stop to Toy Story 3. The Sept. 9 showing also was canceled because of poor weather.

"There is an over 40 percent chance of rain at showing time, the grass is wet and the conditions tonight are simply not favorable for this venue," Deputy Mayor Don Brauckmann, director of parks and recreation, said in an email.

He called off Movie Night after talking with the people at Fun Flicks, who provide the inflatable screen.

Mother Nature won't ultimately win, Brauckmann vowed.

"The rain date is next Saturday, Oct. 8, and if that rains out, we will try each Saturday after that until we get it in," he said.

Fingers crossed, the Oct. 8 showing will take place at Wood Park, with popcorn and candy provided. Residents can watch what happens to Buzz, Woody and company after their owner Andy, goes away to college. Toy Story 3 will be shown on an inflatable, 32-foot-wide screen.
