Seven bands, plus acoustic acts, took the stage Saturday for a music festival.

Cinnaminson held that performed in Saturday afternoon.

After talking to some local musicians, Cinnaminson Mayor Don Brauckmann thought of CinnaFest and was supported by the parks and recreation committee.

"I think that the bands that played were all outstanding and really worked hard to put on a great show for those that braved the heat to come show their support," Brauckmann told Cinnaminson Patch in an email.

Brauckmann said he wants the event to be yearly and hopes to hold it in September next year.

"I wanted to thank our , our , and EMS who were on hand to make sure everyone stayed safe, the Drama Club who offered concessions, Horizon Sound Reinforcement who provided incredible sound for the event, AnnMarie flemming who was the co-coordinator with me, and of course all the bands that participated," Brauckmann said. "It was a great first year event and look forward to Cinnafest 2 in the near future."
