UPDATE: Roadwork Planned for Major Thoroughfare

Work continues on Riverton Road this week—anticipate delays.

UPDATE: Roadwork continues on Riverton Road this week, from the Cinnaminson Township line to Bridgeboro Road. One lane of traffic will be kept open, primarily for emergency response vehicles. 

Moorestown Police advise that motorists should expect significant delays and seek alternate routes.

Take note, commuters: The county will begin resurfacing a 2.7-mile section of Riverton Road today.

The project, which is expected to take about two weeks to complete, involves milling and overlay of Riverton Road from Route 130 in Cinnaminson to Bridgeboro Road in Moorestown. The work is expected to start Wednesday, May 1.

Traffic will be maintained with one lane alternating during milling and paving. Motorists may experience delays and are recommended to find alternate routes while the roadwork is underway.

The work is being done as part of the county’s 2012 state-funded overlay program. The county will resurface a total of 21.4 miles of roadway in 14 municipalities through shared state and county funding.
