Take Home a Sweet Cookie

Looking for a dog, but don't have the time or energy for a puppy? Look no further than this week's Pet of the Week, courtesy of the Burlington County Animal Shelter.

With age comes wisdom, and Cookie has both. She is a sweet, well-mannered girl, and somehow lost her way and ended up at the shelter. Our volunteers report that she is a breeze to walk on the leash and is just an angel!

Would you love to have a dog but don't have the time for a puppy? Would you love to walk a dog but don't have the energy for a "rarin' to go" youngster? Well, Cookie could be the one for you! She loves to be outside, but a short walk is all she needs. She loves companionship (especially kids) and would be content to just hang around with you in the house.

Senior dogs are so often overlooked by people who think they want a puppy—until they have to live with one! Cookie has loads of love to give and we hope that special person turns up so she can have the comfort and security of a loving home once more. Cookie seems to be fine with other dogs, but would prefer a cat-free home. Please refer to her number D-51103 when contacting the shelter at 609-265-5073.
