Winter Festival Today

Santa's workshop, crafters and much more round out the event.

More than 100 crafters will fill the gymnasium at the Cinnaminson High School for the 16th annual Winter Festival, an event that also will feature a Santa’s workshop, cookie swap and live entertainment.

The Cinnaminson Elementary Home & School Association brings the event to the community. Board member and festival organizer Christine Turner said there’s a lot more for kids this year.

“Santa’s workshop will have face painting, crafts, shimmer body art, Santa and elf hats, [friendship] bracelets and more,” Turner said.

There will also be time to visit with Santa Claus.

New this year is an updated version of the cookie walk. This year, Turner said, there will be sweets and treats lane. For a small fee, you can buy a container and fill it with cookies and candy.

Another new addition is a Christmas-themed laser light show for $2 that will be held in the auditorium.

“The kids will really like that,” Turner said. “We’re really excited about it."

Crafters include everything from jewelry to homemade chocolate and dog treats, to knit items and more, Turner said. There will also be “Drive Like Your Kids Live Here” signs for sale, as well as Cinnaminson spirit gear, poinsettias, hoagies and more.

The entertainment this year will be right in the auditorium so festival-goers can enjoy live music. Collingswood-based duo She Hates Me will perform as well as the Rush School Music Makers, Cinnaminson High School marching band and the string quartet.

Proceeds of the Winter Festival go to the home and school association for educational programs.

“We’re really excited because there is so much more for the kids to do,” Turner said. “They can get out and get into the holiday spirit.”

The event will be held Sunday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the high school.

Please come out and support the Home and School Association. They provide many many enrichment programs for our school children outside of the school budget.
