Cinnaminson BOE Candidate Seeks 3rd Term

School Board Member Pam Crepps says, "The security of our children is our No. 1 priority."

When Pam Crepps and her husband decided to move to Cinnaminson 12 years ago, it was, in large part, due to the school system.

So Crepps—who is seeking a third term on the board of education—understands, perhaps better than most, how important the school district is to the greater community.

"The school district has a direct reflection on the value of our homes," she said.

Crepps said the students—including her son, a junior at Cinnaminson High School—are her other primary reason for serving.

She mentioned the recent hiring of the district's new school resource officer and the implementation of new security measures—a crucial component of the proposed capital projects—and said, "The security of our children is our No. 1 priority."

Crepps also listed the rollout of the district's bring-your-own-technology program—and its future expansion—among the board's more recent successes, and looked ahead to the capital projects as one of the major motivators behind her decision to stay.

"You've been working toward something for years," she said. "You want to see it come to fruition."

In addition to sitting on the board's finance/personnel and transportation/facilities committees, Crepps is also a volunteer with Project Graduation and a former president of the New Albany Home and School Association.

Crepps added that she'd like to see more parents involved in the district.

"I would like to hear their voice come out so we can have their opinions," she said.

Crepps is running unopposed for one of three open seats on the board, alongside incumbents Jean Cohen (president) and Harry Shea.
