Liberal Super PAC Targets MacArthur, Lonegan: Report

A liberal Super PAC has spent about $110,000 going after First Congressional District Republican candidates Tom MacArthur and Steve Lonegan, the Burlington County Times reports.

Patriot Majority USA has spent that money since May 22, according to the report, with roughly $98,297 spent on targeting MacArthur. The group was established in 2005 and says it checks the political interests of billionaires, according to the report.

MacArthur and Lonegan are running in the First Congressional District's Republican Primary, which takes place June 3. The winner will pursue the seat being vacated by Jon Runyan in November.
