This summer marks the seventh anniversary of Habitat for Humanity’s ReStore in Cinnaminson, and the store certainly has a lot to celebrate.

Just in the past year the ReStore has experienced several changes. In March, the store reopened with more accommodating hours, a fresher design and new merchandise, including items from HomeGoods, BJ’s Distribution Center, HD Supply, Grant Supply, S.P. Richards and more.

The ReStore is a retail operation open to the public that supports Habitat for Humanity’s Affordable Homeownership Program by selling new and gently used household items and building materials to the general public at steeply discounted prices. The ReStore is a very important and often overlooked arm of Habitat for Humanity. The money raised in the store helps to purchase materials, and also cover other expenses, to construct affordable homes for families in the Affordable Homeownership Program.

The ReStore also provides customers with deals on a variety of slightly used or new items.

Another benefit of the ReStore is it provides the community with an environmental and socially responsible alternative to throwing items away. The ReStore recently received generous donations of windows from Northeast Building Products Corporation and Power Home Remodeling Group. HomeGoods will be filling one 26-foot ReStore truck full of furniture, paintings and sofas. HD Supply donates appliances and other products regularly to the store.  BJ’s Distribution Center, Multi Housing Depot, and NVR donated paint, trim, doors and plywood.

“Our success is due to the continued support and commitment from the community and corporate donations,” said ReStore manager Tristan Keyser.

The ReStore (1702 Taylors Lane, Cinnaminson) is open 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays. The store also provides free pickups for donations.
