“So then I wanted to do it too,” Karli said.

So, her mother Loraine made her an appointment at Hairem in Cinnaminson. Karli’s hair was separated into four ponytails and snipped off. She and her mom donated the hair to Lubin.

“We were so proud,” Loraine Everman said of her daughter’s decision to donate her hair. “Karli loves to help other people and it’s one more thing she can do to help someone.”

When the ponytails were snipped off, Karli said “I didn’t really like it at first.”

But since she’s showed it off to a few friends who loved it, it’s growing on her.

And she’ll continue the growing—she said she might even want to donate again once she gets those 12 inches back.
